I do think it exists. Have you ever read The Long Walk? The book is supposed to be based on the true story of a group of prisoners of war escaping from aSiberian prison and they walk to freedom all the way to Tibet...anyway there is an account of yetis spotted on the way. However there is now some doubt the Long Walk ever happened
