Is there such a thing as eating too much sugar if you eat a lot of fruits?

I'm asking because I really need to cut out the extra sugar from my daily routine of sodas, ice cream and sugary snacks and switch to fruits. Is there ever a point that a person can get to where they are simply eating too much fruit which in turn equals too much sugar? I hope I worded that correctly so that it makes sense. Thanks.
