What are my rights as a tenant in new jersey?
Okay i had two children a son age 3 and daughter age 6, i have live in the apartment for 2 years and never had a problem with the landlord. i had a yard where my kids play outside and i am also outside supervising them at all times. my kids have not damage the property or disturbing the neighbors as they all get along with myself and the kids. today i had friends over come to my apartment with their kids to play with my kids in the back yard.the landlord came to the apartment to pick up the keys of the her tentants who move out of the apartment, by the way they had no kids and we got along with the tentant too. okay the landlord came in the yard and saw me outside with my kids, my friends and their kids playing. The landlord told me in front of my friends and kids that they need to leave with their kids because no kids are aloud to play in the yard but my kids.unless i am having a party. and i told her i am having a get together with my friends and kids, since my kids do not had anyone to play with in the neighborhood, and since we can not put a small swimming pool in this hot weather aleast i want my kids to enjoy playing like normal kids with their friends. Her reason was that the kids were going to broken a window and i had told her i am here supervising the kids and so are the parents.the landlord also threat me if i keep bring kids to play in the yard that i will had to remove my kids brand playhouse that's in the yard.i normal never had had kids play in my apartment backyard my kids are always alone playing in the yard. so what are my rights, am i wrong here or the landlord is correct. by the way in the lease it does NOT state i can not have kids play in the yard. please mature answer without judgements.
