Are there any areas of rational enquiry where religious claims would be accepted on the evidence provided?

By "areas of rational enquiry" I mean any area where we use observation and investigation in order to draw a conclusion... be it biology, physics, chemistry, medicine, law, etc. Aside from theology, is there any field of study such as that in which any given religion would be able to meet the standards required to conclude there is sufficient evidence to accept the claims of that religion as true, or even likely?
